Harvey E. Johnson Jr.
Harvey E. Johnson in currently the Vice President for National Preparedness and Response Solutions at BAE Systems. He began his career in the United States Coast Guard by receiving a Bachelor's of Science degree at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in 1975. He was brought in as a deck water officer and moved up in rank to a naval aviator before he secured an M.S. from the Naval Postgraduate School in 1983 and a Master's of Science in Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management in 1993. Johnson was eventually promoted to the rank of Commander and later, Vice Admiral of the U.S. Coast Guard. In 2007, President George W. Bush, nomiated Johnson to serve as the Deputy Administrator and Chief Operating Officer for FEMA where Johnson served for a little over a year before his retirement from government service in 2009.
