Australian Defence Force
In at just around 81,000 personnel the Australian Defence Force is quite small but it does have a large budget, and it is quite sophisticated. It was initially three different organizations with no central chain of command but this changed in 1976 when top chain of command was created and placed in a single headquarters. The three organizations of the ADF have been in existence since the Federation of Australia in 1901. The ADF was also involved in WWI and WWII, albeit without a central chain of command.
